Quick Neck Pain Relief Technique Without Drugs

Neck pain is extremely common and as a chiropractor, I see this in my office all day long. When people suffer from this condition, I prefer they come into my office to have it treated properly, so that it does not return.

Life is busy though, and sometimes it is difficult to get into the clinic - it also may be late at night. Which is why I would like to give you a simple, quick, natural way to relieve your neck pain.

Many times this condition is due to some sort of trauma - car accident, sports injury, etc. But another common cause is loss of the curve in the neck. This puts undue stress on the joints and nerves causing neck pain.

You will need two things: an ice pack with the blue gel that is malleable and a medium sized bath towel.

Take the bath towel and roll it up so it is roughly 3-4 inches in diameter. This would be for an average size person, so adjust it according to your body size. Then take the ice pack and wrap it around the middle.

Lay on your back on a firm surface and put the rolled up towel/ice pack in the middle portion of your neck and relax for 20 minutes. This puts your neck in a naturally curved position and the ice calms any aggravated neck muscles. Certainly if you feel any sharp pain, stop and call your chiropractor, but this should give you great relief from common neck pain.
